**Student Side Job (6-8 hours/week)*  

**Saturdays Available Morning to Afternoon**  

 

Are sustainability and community essential topics for you? If so, this opportunity may be what you're looking for! Venture For Canada partially funds this position.  

 

**Eligibility Criteria - Please Confirm Before Applying**  

-  Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee.  

-  Must be enrolled full-time or part-time in a Canadian college or university.  

-  Funding does NOT apply to postgraduate or international students.  

 

I seek a student who can bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to my business! Grandma's Apothec creates artistic, ethical, and natural personal care products. I am a local woman entrepreneur and artisan.

 

**Responsibilities**  

-  Manage the Saturday market.  Moss St or James Bay Market.

-  Educate potential customers and sell products at the market.  

-  Assist with labelling and packaging of products.  

-  Handle logistical and operational tasks during and after the market (e.g., using Square and setting up        displays).  

-   Help with creating social media posts.

-   Support the owner with other operational functions as needed.  

 

**What Makes You a Top Candidate?**  

-   Available some Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and other Saturdays 9-2:30 pm.

-   Must have a car or small transport (e.g., cargo bike) with parking covered.  

-   Basic sales skills.  

-   Interest in craft products.  

-   Passion for a zero-waste lifestyle and green cosmetics is a plus.  

 

**Duration**  

-  End April to October (start and end dates are negotiable). There is a possibility of an extension until      

   December.  

 

**Compensation**  

-   Contract-based salary: $22 per hour.  

-   Free access to a range of Grandma's Apothec products.  

-   Opportunity to learn DIY eco personal care products.
